  • Overview

    Social Supervisor works within the Strategy and planning team, reporting directly to Strategy Account lead. The Supervisor, Paid Social is responsible for oversight of the Canvas Worldwide paid social product (planning, buying, execution) in support of all client accounts.

    Responsibilities

    Paid Social Planning and Implementation

    • Ideate and plan Paid Social campaigns across relevant environments (Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Linkedin, Snapchat)
    • Translate client business goals and marketing objectives into digital objectives/strategies
    • Prepare and present strategic media recommendations to client and agency management, including objectives, strategy, rationale, and all backup materials
    • Inform implementation of single and multi-variant tests to prove campaign performance (planning phase)
    • Keep abreast of current events, social/digital media trends and any target market industry trends that impact business

     

    Account Management

    • Manage day-to-day paid social activity and ensure delivery to a consistently high standard, cost effective and in line with business targets
    • Manage client media budgets including monthly forecasting of spend, pacing, and efficient delivery
    • Continuous optimization of bid strategies and A/B testing of creative, ad unit, and landing pages to maximize conversion rates
    • Implement tracking pixels and ad trackers for 3rd party verification and fraud management needs
    • Implement 3rd party audiences as part of media buys, according to strategy; evaluate and test new ad units and audiences
    • Provide reporting as needed through partners (Facebook/Twitter) or 3rd parties (Google Analytics, Omniture, Facebook FMPs, etc.)
    • Manage and follow quality assurance checklists and adherence to brand guidelines (legal, privacy, content, etc.)

     

    Team Management and Leadership

    • Collaborate with Account lead, in setting paid social strategies and developing appropriate media plans
    • Fulfill set client strategies by creating deliverables and specific recommendations - including account structure and implementation, optimizations, conditional testing, tracking, and overall management
    • Supervise, guide and counsel Specialists on all day-to-day activities and ensure that all processes are followed
    • Train specialists in social media and marketing disciplines as well as the specifics of the client’s business and industry
    • Assist in interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring, developing, and evaluating team members
    • Foster integration & coordination between social and planning teams

    Qualifications

    • Strong knowledge of all relevant social platform UIs and capabilities, relevant API management platforms and strong knowledge of Tier II vendors and capabilities
    • Demonstrated success in using the most advanced targeting/retargeting tactics in social media to drive client business objectives
    • Demonstrated expertise on all social marketplace offerings and opportunities including all ad units, targeting options/providers and inventory sources
    • Completed partner training (Facebook Blueprint / Twitter Flight School)
    • Must have a point-of-view on how to architect appropriate budget/investment levels across the consumer journey, using multiple partner products
    • Experience working closely with other media teams focused on Television Buying, Display Buying, Strategic Planning & Intelligence, Analytics, Community Management, Content Development & Creative, Influencer Activation, Invention and Marketplace Buying (i.e. Search).
    • Must have experience acting as a thought leader for various publication interviews, panel participation and conference schedules.
    • Experience publishing perspectives on social media and the entertainment/tune-in space.

     

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    • 3-5 years experience buying social media advertising
    • Strong knowledge of all relevant social platform UIs and capabilities, relevant API management platforms and strong knowledge of Tier II vendors and capabilities
