  • Overview

    Canvas is seeking a progressive, passionate VP, Group Director to lead the Performance team for one of Canvas’ core clients.


    The VP, Group Director, will design and drive the strategy, planning and direction informed by consumer insights, creative thinking and data. A special emphasis will be placed on ROI, delivery against identified KPIs and attribution. As the lead for the “shopping” or “in-market” team, there will be focus on digital media.     • Lead Performance Strategy and Activation across all core initiatives
    • Strategic lead for all In-Market efforts across focusing on Digital – Programmatic and Audience planning/buying leadership experience is a must
    • Creation of clear and measurable objectives, strategies and the approach to deliver on business objectives
    • Drive collaboration across all disciplines (Strategy, Investment, Social, Performance Media, Analytics) to create integrated plans that make an impact to customers and deliver on client business objectives
    • Leading innovation and progressive planning techniques by testing and learning through new opportunities, partners and technology
    • Experience with Digital Video application and measurement
    • Capable and skilled in client service and account management
    • Active in the industry and community with a high level of knowledge and interest across media trends, opportunities and the landscape


    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • 10+ years of experience in Media Planning / Strategy with a focus in Digital, Social and Integrated Partnerships
    • 5+ years’ experience managing and developing large teams
    • Strong media marketplace knowledge and understanding of what drives the most successful agreements between media partners, clients and agencies
    • Ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with clients, to make an impact on their business, and to showcase the talent and accomplishments of the entire agency team(s)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Exceptional management, organizational and responsiveness skills
